When Coded Beats Come Alive Showcase
This STEM showcase is done in collaboration with Northwestern University and their Tidal Lab. The Tidal Lab created a program called "TunePad," which teaches youth to code in the Python computer language while also learning to compose music. The showcase allows students the opportunity to showcase their work to their family and peers and to have their creations played by a live band..
DJ Fundamentals
DJ Fundamentals was a STEAM program that was done in partnership with Evanston Public Library (EPL) and the organization Y.O.U. Ozi Lamont, a teaching artist, worked with the Innovation and Digital Learning team at EPL to teach teens turntablism via the DDJ 200 turntables and the DJay Pro app.
